This website is an extensive website covering the areas of academics, research and outreach related to the School of Natural Resources at UNL. The website takes on the dynamics of the discipline and the internet culture -- many things are related and interrelated. Therefore the site has been broken in subwebs and much of the basic information is dynamically pulled from databases to mantian consistency throughout the subwebs.
There has also been an attempt to maintain user expectation throughout each of the subwebs. Similar types of webpages function the same way and information has been uniformally organized. Below are some of the types of these pages.

The Faculty Area Index page is divided into 4 main areas:
Upper Left-->Overview: The overview is a basic description of the kind of reasearch and outreach that is conducted within the faculty area.
Upper Right --> Featured Stories: These are in the tabbed area. Three stories are randomly selected from a pool of stories that have been associated with the subweb. A story can be associated with more than one subweb. Another set of three stories can be select by refreshing the page or going to another webpage and returning to the index page. Feature stories are information about research projects or outreach activities that may be relevant for 6 months to a year. Feature Stories may highlight other sections of the subweb or link to website external of the SNR website. You can see all the featured stories for a particular subweb by clicking here.

Lower Left-->Information: Contact Information and possibily brochures are located in this section.
Lower Right --> What's happening in... (News Stories): These are the three most recent news stories that have been associated with this subweb. A story can be associated with more than one subweb. News stories are items created by the SNR Communication Group and may be relevant for a few weeks. However if there are no new news stories related to this subweb, the stories viewed will remain unchanged. At the bottom of the section is a link to the archive for these new stories. News stories that were created by media outside of the SNR Communications group are located in the "SNR in the News" archive.
