Learn about the Nebraska Master Naturalist program by joining the group for a relaxing weekend workshop, Nov. 4-6 at the Lied Lodge and Conference Center in Nebraska City.
Educational sessions will focus on invasive species, birding, tree identification, Native American culture, outdoor cooking, storytelling, meteorology and more. Relaxation opportunities include yoga, tai-chi, massage, wine tasting and star gazing.
“This is a good chance for someone to have a relaxing weekend, engage with our volunteers, and find out more about what it takes to become a Certified Master Naturalist,” said Annabel Major, coordinator of the program. Master Naturalists serve as trained volunteers for non-profit and educational organizations. The program is based in the School of Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
Registration for the weekend costs $100 for members of the general public and $75 for master naturalists.
