Congratulations to Range Management Students

Six undergraduate members of the Range Management Club attended the annual meeting of the Society for Range Management in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from February 8 to 12, 2009. The students participated in a number of activities and contests at the meeting. The Range Plant Identification team placed fifth out of 18 teams in the Plant Identification contest. The team included Jessie Winter (Water Science), Lacy Hoksbergen (Grazing Livestock Systems), Lars Anderson (Rangeland Ecosystems and Wildlife Management), Jessica Milby (Rangeland Ecosystems) and Daniel Frank (Diversified Agricultural Studies). Anderson finished sixth out of 171 students from 23 universities in the Undergraduate Range Management Exam, Jess Milby (Rangeland Ecosystems) placed fifth overall of students taking both the Undergraduate Range Management Exam and the Plant Identification test, and Laura Snell (Water Sciences) finished first out of 15 students in the Undergraduate Public Speaking Contest.
