Casey Cain

Hello, I'm Casey Cain. I'm a sophomore  fisheries and wildlife major in the School of Natural Resources. I'm from Elkhorn, Nebraska, and graduated from Elkhorn High School.

I am in the Wildlife Club, the Honors Program, the Cornhusker Marching Band, Campus Band, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Zeta, Alpha Lambda Delta, Phi Eta Sigma, and Dean's Scholars in Experiential Leadership.

I don't have much natural resources summer work experience yet, but each summer for the past five years I have worked at a church camp, Camp Moses Merrill, as a camp counselor. And I get to see and appreciate a lot of the outdoors during my time at camp.

Once I graduate from UNL, I plan to get a master's degree in something related to genetics or wildlife populations and their conservation. I want to work in the field for a few years, but eventually I want to work in conservation of exotic animal species in foreign countries. Along with that, I want to do research in animal genetics, ecology, behavior and/or other related aspects of wildlife.
