Hi, I'm John Dinneen, and I'm a senior in Environmental Restoration Science. I'm from Lincoln, NE.

My courses at UNL got me interested in working on solutions for contaminated environments. In order to work at hazardous waste sites, I first took a 40-hr safety training course called HAZWOPER. With this training, I was able to land a position as a summer intern with an environmental remediation firm in Madison, WI (ORIN Remediation Technologies). This was a great experience and one that allowed me to gain hands-on experience in remediating contaminated groundwater. I traveled to many sites across the U.S. (Iowa, Texas, Ohio, and Indiana) and performed both biological and chemical treatments of contaminated groundwater.

When I graduate, I'd like to work for a private consulting firm that specializes in remediating contaminated soil and water.
