Facilities...
Faculty in the Applied Climate Sciences group are located on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Field facilities include an Agrometeorology laboratory at the University Agricultural Research and Development Center (ARDC) near Mead, Nebraska, approximately 30 miles north of Lincoln. Measuring stations for the National Atmospheric Deposition Program (NADP) for both atmospheric and mecury deposition and the USDA UV-B Monitoring Network are located at the ARDC. Additional facilities include the High Plains Regional Climate Center (and the Automated Weather Data Network - AWDN) and the National Drought Mitigation Center. Field experiments are conducted at other sites as well (wetlands, grasslands, forests, management agricultural land and urban centers) within the state and elsewhere.
