“Beneath the Sand: A Photo Journey of Our Year in Namibia,” will be on exhibit the week of January 24 in the Rotunda Gallery at the City Campus Union. Larkin Powell, a wildlife ecologist at UNL’s School of Natural Resources, along with his wife, Kelly Powell, and their son, Tristan, spent 2009 on a Fulbright Fellowship in Namibia. While Larkin taught at Polytechnic of Namibia in Windhoek, Tristan attended school, and Kelly volunteered at an orphanage. All three are prolific and talented photographers. Their photos chronicle the animals, people and places they experienced.
