Park-Wide Cultural Resources Survey at Mount Rushmore National Memorial

Abstract:  This project is a comprehensive archaeological survery of the material culture resources within Mount Rushmore National Memorial.  The work consists of consultation, background research, intensive on-the-ground surveys, lab analysis, and interpretation.  The on-the-ground survey will incorporate archaeological methods and techniques drawn from NPS and South Dakota SHPO guidelines.
