| Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) of the Titan One
Missile Complex 2A Ted Ertl
College of Architecture
University of
Nebraska
Abstract:
This project
is a cooperative research and documentation effort entered into
by and between the Department of Interior, National Park Service
(NPS) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) for the
completion of a HAER documentation of the Titan One Missile
Complex 2A, near Denver, Colorado. The goal of HAER is to
research, survey, and document America’s historic engineering
resources, and to record the processes and working conditions of
the people associated with them. The HAER collection, which is
stored in the Library of Congress, provides architects,
engineers, scholars, and interested members of the public with
comprehensive documentation of sites and structures significant
in American History and the growth and development of the built
environment. The HAER program was established in the 1969 by a
tripartite agreement among NPS, the American Society of Civil
Engineers, and the Library of Congress. Documentation will
include measured drawings of the Titan Missile system within the
United States and detail drawings of the 2A
