The Lodge Pole River Project:  Part Two

Abstract:  The Lodge Pole River Project is an educational program aimed at examining the Washita Battlefield National Historic Site and the culture of the Southern Cheyenne from multiple perspectives within the broadest geographical and historical contexts.  This project is the first component of a larger three-year endeavor that will study the Cheyenne and the Commanche tribes from their early history to present day.
