Abstract:
The Northern Great Plains Inventory & Monitoring
Network proposes to conduct a basic floristic inventory at Fort
Laramie National Historic Site in 2003 and (if necessary) 2004.
The Network wishes to enter into an agreement with the
University
of
Wyoming
to conduct the work, with Bonnie Heidel of the Wyoming Natural
Diversity Database being the Principle Investigator.
The primary objective of the project is to identify and
document at least 90% of the vascular plant species expected to
be at the park. A
secondary objective is to document the density and distribution
of plants listed by either the federal government or State of
Wyoming
as endangered, threatened, and species of concern.
Plant specimens will be collected for purposes of
documentation and verification.
A complete description of the project can be found in the
accompanying Scope of Work (SOW) for the project.
