Post Award Management of Biomass R&D Initiative Projects

Milford A. Hanna
University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Abstract:  The Industrial Agricultural Products Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will work with the CSREES Multi-state Committee S-1007 Science and Engineering for a Biobased Industry and Economy, to conduct peer reviews of the 13 projects awarded USDA funding in FY 2004 under the Biomass R&D Initiative.  Review teams of two or more technical experts specific to each of the funded research projects will be identified to conduct project site visits and complete reports that can be used by USDA to assess the progress of these projects.  This group conducted similar reviews of FY 2003 projects in early 2005 that were used to develop a report to Congress on the progress of the Biomass R&D Initiative.
