Property Ownership GIS Datalayer for the Missouri National Recreational River (MNRR)

Dr. William Ranney
University of South Dakota

Abstract: The goal of this project is to develop a property ownership theme for the River within the indicated areas. The 59 Mile section of the MNRR was designated into the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act in 1978 with the 39 Mile following in 1991. The goal for the management on both stretches of the river is to work with property owners in and along the river to preserve and protect the values for which the river was designated. Deliverables include: (a) digitize current land ownership within the area identified as "Boundary of Ownership" on the attached 15 maps which encompasses property within and along the area designated as the Missouri National Recreational River; (b) tabular data should include acreage, parcel number, Tax Lot number, ownership name, address, and phone numbers for each parcel.
