Abstract: This study is a continuation of a systematic survey of the aquatic biotic community within the Schramm Addition at Ponca State Park, Nebraska. Organisms including selected invertebrates, fish, and aquatic plants will be surveyed and analyzed for seasonal habitat usage, aspects of species distribution, and the presence of threatened and endangered species. Sampling methods will include the standardized quadrate sampling, and various netting methods specific to large river fish communities. The seasonal sampling methods will be structured to allow adaptation to future surveys that will be undertaken after the habitat restorations are completed.
