Habitat: This species is only found in Sarpy county in Nebraska. Eastern ?? forest, open woodland, eastern edge of range

Diet: Insects, worms, other amphibians..

Size: 5.0-9.0 mm (2-3.5 inches)

Natural History: Best chance of finding this species may be to listen for distinctive call in late April and early May. The early breeding season of the American Toad means that hybridization with Woodhouse's Toad is reduced.

Similar species:
