Description: Dull gray, tan, or olive with tiny dark flecks, lacking any clear pattern. Small plump toad, with short limbs, pointed head, and a fold of skin across the back of the head. Males typically have dark throats, whereas females have light throats. Call: Distinct peep followed by a buzz lasting 1-4 seconds. sheep-like Habitat: Semi-wooded pastures, under rocks or logs. Diet: Diet consists mainly of ants, also slugs and sowbugs Size: 2-3.5 cm (0.75-1.33 in) Natural History: Travel in early spring in moist conditions, hides in moist soil remainder of tiem.
