Description:
Orange stripe down the middle of the back and yellowish stripes
along the sides of the body.

Natural
History: The most common snake in Nebraska; also the only
striped snake found in most locations throughout the state.
The largest individuals in Nebraska come from the western edge
of the Sandhills, whereas the smallest individuals come from
eastern Nebraska.
