We are seeking highly motivated individuals as trainees and collaborators in addressing the challenges associated with meeting increasing human demands for food, energy, and water while preserving systems’ critical services amidst rapidly unfolding global change. To trace such paths of sustainable development at the food–energy–water systems (FEWS) nexuses of agricultural landscapes, trainees may apply resilience thinking and a diversity of methodologies in immersive and interdisciplinary coursework and research. Traineeships will equip individuals with the knowledge, technical skills, and networking opportunities for gainful employment in a diversity of academic and non-academic settings.
NRT Traineeships are provided through funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation, and are available to U.S. citizens and permanent residents.

- Department at University of Nebraska-Lincoln the student plans on applying to
We can assist with applying to a department, finding an advisor, etc. But students will need to formally apply to and get accepted to a department through normal channels. However, being accepted by a department is not a pre-requisite for applying to the NRT.
