Levi Adam
Hi, I’m Levi Adam, a fisheries and wildlife major from Wilcox, Nebraska, in the School of Natural Resources.
I chose a major in natural resources because I like to be outdoors a lot, and I want to be able to work outside for my career instead of sitting behind a desk. I have always enjoyed traveling to different state and national parks across the United States and Canada and seeing various wonders of nature. In addition, I like to work with and be around animals.
I really like all the professors in natural resources. The professors in the School want to help you succeed. I like the content, and the small classes mean the teaching is more personal than you might get in another department or college. Also, the class size means I know the students better, and many of them come from a similar background as mine and have become good friends.
In high school, I was active in FFA (former Future Farmers of America) and in 4-H, in which I was involved in many projects related to the wildlife and the outdoors of Nebraska.
Because I’m in the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC), I’ll be serving my country after a graduate, but after that, I’d like to do something in wildlife management in Nebraska.
