South Carolina was recently affected by one of the worst droughts in the past century. This photo shows pontoons that were left high-and-dry by lowered lake levels. Cody Knutson and Mike Hayes, National Drought Mitigation Center and SNR faculty, interviewed residents and water officials throughout the state and proposed new drought mitigation strategies to better prepare for the next drought. |
