The Marena, Oklahoma In Situ Sensor Testbed (MOISST) was established in 2010 to evaluate and compare existing and emerging in situ and proximal sensing technologies for soil moisture monitoring. The project is led by Mike Cosh (USDA-ARS Hydrology and Remote Sensing Laboratory, Beltsville, MD) and Tyson Ochsner and involves leading researchers from around the world.
