Hello! My name is Sara Winn and I am the Advising Coordinator for the School of Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. 

As a professional academic advisor, I assist students with academic planning, understanding degree requirements, and setting educational and career goals. I also provide information on class scheduling, rules and regulations, graduation requirements, transfer issues, study abroad opportunities, internship searches, and life after graduation. I really enjoy working as an advisor at UNL and within the School of Natural Resources – it’s a great place to be.

I am a Nebraska native – growing up on an acreage just outside of Fremont. After graduating from High School, I attended UNL and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and then went on to receive a Master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning. While at UNL, I was able to spend a semester in Lund, Sweden and also studied sustainable development within Costa Rica.

Outside of the University, I love spending time with my family, including my husband Kenny and our beautiful daughter, Larsyn. We also have two dogs that I adore; a black lab named Cash and a Weimaraner named June. I also enjoy jogging, gardening, fishing, canoeing, and playing the piano.
