Goldwater Scholarship
The Goldwater Scholarship is for sophomores or juniors in science, math, or engineering: An extremely competitive grant awarded to undergraduates. Students apply in either their sophomore or junior years. The award amount is $7500 per year, which covers tuition, fees, books, and room and board.
Goldwater Criteria
Students have to be U.S. citizens, have a high GPA (the website says 3.7, but 3.9 or above is the norm). have extensive research experience, want to pursue a career in science, math, or engineering at the doctoral level and are not pre-med.

- Campus Deadline: November 15, 2009
- National Deadline: January 29, 2010
