Hi!  My name is Sue Ellen Pegg, and I am the Recruitment Coordinator for the School of Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

I am very excited to be a part of the School of Natural Resources and to tell students and parents about the amazing opportunities available here.  We have so many interesting majors and options that there is something for everyone who is interested in the natural world.  Students attending the School of Natural Resources not only receive lots of individual attention from nationally and internationally recognized faculty, but they receive hands-on, real-world learning that translates directly into jobs when they graduate.  In addition, there are numerous clubs and organizations that provide leadership opportunities as well as networking with students of similar interests.  Please contact me with any questions about attending UNL or to schedule a campus visit and see these state-of-the-art facilities for yourself.

As for my life before joining the staff at the School of Natural Resources, I am a farm girl who grew up outside Dows, Iowa.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1994 and worked in agricultural research for a number of years at Iowa State University and Western Illinois University.  In 2004, I made the transition to working for non-profit organizations and most recently served as the Associate Director for WasteCap Nebraska, a non-profit organization that promotes resource conservation to Nebraska businesses.  I have lived in Lincoln since 2005 and was extremely impressed with how easy it was to feel welcome in the city and at the University.
