Environmental restoration initiates or accelerates the recovery of an ecosystem that has been degraded, damaged or contaminated from human activity or natural agents.


Environmental Studies

This major uses the interdisciplinary approach needed to solve complex environmental problems by emphasizing the physical, biological and social sciences.


Fisheries & Wildlife

The fisheries and wildlife major gives students a broad education in natural resources and specialization in fisheries and wildlife.

Grassland Ecology & Management

This major focuses on the management of rangeland, the world’s most abundant type of land.

Natural Resouces & Environmental Economics

This major combines in-depth study of the natural sciences with economics, law and other social sciences.


Water Science

Increasing worldwide demands on water resources throughout the globe has resulted in a corresponding increase in demand for professionals who can help sustain high quality supplies of water and resolve conflicts among users.


Pre-forestry

Increasing demands on the world’s forest resources and the challenges and opportunities arising from those demands make the pre-forestry program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln an attractive option for many UNL students.


Geography
