Howdy! I’m Jennifer Aerni, Recruitment Coordinator for the School of Natural Resources.

Before joining the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) and the School of Natural Resources, I worked at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota, as a Residence Director. After that, I came to work for UNL in Residence Life. Coming back to UNL, and my academic foundation, was important to me. UNL has opportunities to enhance classroom instruction at various levels. Field research experiences, to personal conversations with international leaders, to studying in Spain, are a variety of opportunities students get to experience during their academic career. UNL is also situated in the diverse capital of Nebraska – Lincoln! Lincoln has one of the most extensive networks of biking and hiking trails in the Midwest, coupled with an arts scene rivaling those of larger metropolises. From shopping, to dining, to relaxing, Lincoln has events to engage families of our college students. Please take a look at a few of Lincoln’s treasures:

Originally from Columbus, Nebraska, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and I am currently working on my Masters degree in Leadership Education at the University.
