Student Job Opportunities

Career Services on the UNL campus lists job opportunities for graduates and current students.  Working on campus has many benefits: work in between classes, flexible schedule which helps when preparing for a big test or class presentation, potential networking within your career field, and meet new people.

Student Work Study Program

Students who have been awarded Federal Work Study can find work study jobs at Career Services or can explore School of Natural Resources opportunities by talking with their advisor or a professor.  Advisors and professors may have opportunities available for students with Work Study awards.  In addition, advisors typically know if their colleagues are looking for specific skills and talents you may have.  Susan Vosler, Undergraduate Secretary for School of Natural Resources, is another resource to talk with when looking for Work Study positions.

Student Assistantships

Professors work on research grants where additional assistance from undergraduate students is necessary.  While the tasks may seem monotonous at times, the rewards are worth it!  You gain valuable research experience while applying classroom techniques and skills.  Employers give extra attention to resumes with real life experience.  To locate assistantships, peruse these resources:
