Identification Description

Foliage	pinnately compound 10-20” long, (10-20) leaflets, may be missing terminal leaflet	Leaf Type	Compound - Pinnate
Bark	dark brown/gray, narrow furrows
Bud	terminal: pale gray/brown, fuzzy, rounded	Bud Arrangement	Alternate
Twig	stout, light brown current twig fuzzy, inside (pith) divided into tan cambers; leaf-scar said to resemble "monkey" face
Flower	male: pendulous catkins; female: small spike, pinkish
Fruit	round green husk about golf ball sized, producing dark stain, very fragrant
