Southeast Kansas Mallard GPS Project

Donate to the Southeast Kansas Mallard GPS Project

Why Donate to the Project?

Your financial contribution to the project will help us to deploy more mallards in Southeast Kansas during the duration of the project.

Currently, our project has funds to purchase and deploy 50 transmitters per-year. Donated funds will allow us to deploy additional transmitters in 2024 and 2025, helping us to produce more robust results which will lead to improved management applications from our research.

How to Donate?

We are requesting donations to help pay for additional GPS devices along with the costs of deploying them (e.g. attachment materials, fuel, field supplies). The cost to donate towards a GPS device, including the purchase of the device, data fees, and cost of deployment, is $1500. If you are interested in donating specifically to fund a GPS device, you have the option of naming the mallard on our real-time maps. You do not need to contribute the complete cost of a GPS device to contribute to our project, or to be recognized on our Project Supporters page.

If you are interested in donating to the project, please follow the link below to donate to the Mallard Ecology Excellence Fund at the University of Nebraska Foundation.
