My name is Emilee Lachenmeier and I am a Graduate Student pursuing a degree in Natural Resource Science with a specialization in Climate Assessment and impacts. I was born and raised in North Dakota and made by way to Nebraska for my Undergraduate career -pursuing a degree in Meteorology/Climatology. I later added a second major and Graduated with a duel degree in Meteorology/Climatology and Water Science in December of 2018. I guess I just loved Nebraska so much that I decided to apply and continue my graduate studies here! My current position as a graduate student is being funded through a National Science Foundation grant and I will be working in collaboration with the High Plains Regional Climate Center. I will be working under the advisement of Dr. Rezaul Mahmood and will be focusing on data collected during the GRAINEX project conducted during the summer of 2018. I am excited to get involved and collaborate with other great minds in my field!
