Voices for Nature
"We have plenty of buffalo, beaver, deer and other wild animals -- we have also an abundance of horses —we have everything we want — we have plenty of land, if you will keep your people off of it."
-- Chief Petalesharro, a Pawnee

"As I looked about me I felt that the grass was the country, as the water is the sea...And there was so much motion in it; the whole country seemed, somehow, to be running."
-- Willa Cather, author of My Antonia

"Water must be thought of in terms of the chains of life it supports."
-- Rachel Carson, author of Silent Spring

We are seeking submissions for the series of quotes that are displayed around Hardin Hall, featuring the images and words of individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences that uplift multiple perspectives on the Great Plains and nature from your part of the world. These digital posters aim to help students, staff, and faculty see themselves, their experiences, and their perspectives represented throughout the School of Natural Resources.
