Ever since I was a young boy swimming in South Dakota lakes and streams, I have been fascinated with freshwater quality. I interested in the monitoring and restoration of impaired field sites, both soils and fresh waterbodies. My current research project examines "An Integrated Biological and Chemical Approach to Remove Nutrients from Surface Water Ponds" which focuses on the use of a floating treatment wetland (FTW) and lanthanum to remove N and P from eutrophic waters. I found my love of field work while working for Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy and as Lab Technician II. In my free time, I enjoy longboarding, biking, and hiking.
