At the School of Natural Resources, our mission is to champion the natural world. Our Spring Banquet is designed to engage with alumni and partners who help us accomplish that mission, connect our students to potential employers, and celebrate the success of faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Our student clubs and organizations help plan and carry out the banquet. Please join us!
When/Where: April 11, 2026, 5:00 - 8:30 pm, 6:30 pm (dinner); Nebraska East Campus Union’s Great Plains Room, East Campus UNL
Attire: Business Casual
Participating Student Organizations: SNR Graduate Student Association, Herpetology Club, Marine Biology Club, Wildlife Club, Forestry Club, Out in CASNR, Fisheries Club
Tickets
Ticket sales help support the School of Natural Resources host the Spring Banquet each year. Ticket sales ended March 26, 2026. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.
Sponsorships
Your organization can support the banquet through one of our three levels of sponsorship. Each sponsor receives 8 tickets for members of your organization to attend the banquet and network with our students, faculty and staff!
Your sponsorship support of the Spring Banquet allows the School of Natural Resources to continue to provide low-cost tickets to students who wish to attend the banquet.
Awards
The School is proud of our faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Our program will include the opportunity to celebrate their successes. Please nominate deserving applicants! Nominations for all awards may be submitted by current SNR faculty, staff and students. Nominations will open February 1st, 2026. Nominations are due by February 28th, 2026, at 5:00PM.

| Graduate Student | Meritorious Graduate Student Award: The SNR Graduate Committee conducts the nomination process for the award each spring. | |
| Staff | Staff Recognition Award: The SNR Staff Advisory and Professional Development Committee (SAPDC) is charged with selecting the winners of the SNR Staff Recognition Award. Two awards will be presented. | |
| Staff Inspiration Award: A student nominated award to recognize staff who inspire students. | ||
| Faculty | Faculty nominees may be of any category including lecturer (excluding for the Postdoctoral Excellence award) and must have a portion of their appointment in the School. | |

| Early Career Faculty Award: Nominees must be in the first 6 years of their career at UNL. | ||
| Extended Service Faculty Award: Recognizes faculty who have impacted the School's mission over a longer period of time. | ||

| Early Career Excellence Alumni Award: Recognizes alums that are ~10 years or less from their UNL graduation. | ||
