My Story
My name is Tanessa Morris! I am entering my first year as a graduate student at the University of Nebraska in the School of Natural Resources. I grew up on a beef ranch in Southern Alberta, Canada, and growing up in this area, completely reliant on irrigation, spurred my interest into natural resources, especially hydrology and geophysics. I completed my undergraduate degrees in Geoscience and Anthropology at the University of Montana and competed as a student athlete on the track and field team there. In Lincoln I will be a part of Dr. Trenton Franz’s research group and working on projects incorporating hydrology, geophysics, and agriculture. I will also be competing as part of the Huskers Track and Field Team as a thrower! I am very excited about the opportunities that have been presented to me already at the University of Nebraska and am honoured to have been selected as a recipient of the Chancellor’s Fellowship!
