Hello! My name is Aaron Young and I am the Ground Water Resources Coordinator with the Conservation and Survey Division, School of Natural Resources, UNL. I record water levels in monitoring wells throughout Nebraska, and with the help of the Nebraska Natural Resource districts and the USGS, I monitor the change in groundwater levels in Nebraska. I also create surficial geologic maps and geologic cross sections for different parts of Nebraska as part of the STATEMAP mapping program. These maps are online at http://go.unl.edu/digitalgeologicmaps. I am also involved with numerous Quaternary geology projects throughout the upper Midwest.
I have a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in physical geography, and I have a M.S in Natural Resource Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
